Simon Fraher
Bio
Simon is an MS candidate working in sweetpotato breeding. He joined the team in May of 2019. Simon’s focus is on the development of molecular tools for screening guava root knot nematode, and breeding sweetpotato for resistance. He is originally from Olympia, WA, and did his BS at Oregon State University. Outside of work, he spends most of his free time cooking with and eating hot peppers, and he has some hobby breeding projects underway with Capsicum baccatum
