Russell Mierop
Bio
Russell is a Research Technician with the Sweetpotato Breeding and Genetics Program, assisting with the daily management of conventional and genomic-assisted sweetpotato breeding from planting and management to harvest. When not in the field, he assists with processing trials to determine the market class and collaborates with partners on database management and data collection. Russell is a graduate of NCSU with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy-Soil Science. He lives in Garner with his wife, Sydney; daughters, Beatrice and Claire; two dogs; two cats; and too many chickens.
